African American Theatre Production at the University of Pittsburgh

Intimate Apparel is a beautiful play about an African American seamstress, set in New York, 1905.  The play was written by African American playwright Lynn Nottage. This is the first production of the Year of Diversity and will be sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh Stages, directed by KJ Gilmer.  The production will run from Thursday, October 6-16, 2016, Tuesday-Saturday 8:00 pm and Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm.  See flyer

Location and Address

Henry Heymann Theatre, located inside the Stephen Foster Memorial, 4301 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.  The building is located behind the University of Pittsburgh Cathedral of Learning. 

Directions and Parking Information

On street parking at city kiosks.  Parking is also available at the Soldier's and Sailor's garage located on Bigelow Boulevard above Fifth Avenue.
