It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the first spring networking meeting of the Interdisciplinary Latino Research Initiative (ILRI). Paulette Vincent Ruz, student from the School of Educaiton, will talk to us about her work regarding different identify profiles of middle school students and how these profiles relate to the science experiences they choose to engage with. Paulette is finding that gender and race are important variables to consider in these cases. We are open to all. Those who attend come from multiple schools at the University of Pittsburgh and from Duquesne University and Carnegie Mellon University. So far, the disciplines include public health, education, social work, and anthropology. For additional information, please email Chantel Durrant at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please also review the Center for Health Equity website located at www.healthequity.pitt.edu. See flyer
