The University of Pittsburgh was one of the four original pilot sites of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) AspiringDocs.org program. The AAMC is strongly committed to changing the face of medicine to address the needs of diverse communities. AspiringDocs.org is a free resource designed to complement and enhance the long-standing efforts of the nation’s medical schools to increase diversity.
The AAMC organization represents all 130 accredited medical schools that grant the MD degree and more than 400 major teaching hospitals in the United States. They also administer the MCAT exam and manage the application process for medical school.
